To celebrate the launch of Kate, Sorrenti will visit Rotterdam and be joined in conversation with fashion journalist, Milou van Rossum at Nederlands Fotomuseum. Published by Phaidon this Autumn and twenty-five years since they met, Kate is a collection of 50 portraits of Moss, almost all of which have never-before-been-published, and a celebration of the beginning of two legendary careers and the power of portraiture. In 1993, Calvin Klein was so struck with Sorrenti’s diaries that the photographs became the reference for the famous Obsession perfume campaign, transforming both Moss’ and Sorrenti’s career. She became his muse and they spent the next two years together, travelling and collaborating on photographs which captured her during moments of unguarded intimacy on trips, by the beach, or at home in London. In 1991, acclaimed Italian photographer Mario Sorrenti met, and fell in love with a very young and undiscovered Kate Moss.
